Students Entering the Building Before School
Students must have a pass to enter the building before 7:10 a.m. Students must prearrange morning tutoring sessions with a teacher by getting a pass signed by the teacher.
Congratulations to the 2017 Lake Ridge High School Wind Symphony for earning the designation as a National Winner in the National Wind Band Honors Mark of Excellence competition. In addition, the ensemble was also recognized as a winner in the New Music category.
We are extremely proud of last year’s Wind Symphony students for their many outstanding performances throughout the spring semester and for earning this national recognition.
Lake Ridge has more character on and off the field! Be sure to dress up on Friday as your favorite (school appropriate) character.
6th Annual March-A-Thon
Approximately 250 students of the Lake Ridge Eagle Band will be participating in the 6th annual March-A-Thon on Saturday, September 23, 2017. They will be starting from Anna May Daulton Elementary School at 9:00 AM and will perform while marching throughout the surrounding Grand Peninsula neighborhoods ending back at Anna May Daulton Elementary at approximately 11:30 AM. Along the route, the energetic musicians and booster volunteers will be collecting donations to support the Band Programs. Details can be found at the band’s website www.lakeridgeband.com.
Homecoming tickets will be sold at school and Newsom Stadium.

Last night the varsity tennis team lost a heartbreaker against Red Oak 9-10. Despite the loss, tremendous performances were turned in by Kennedy Cook, Grace Schmidt, Makayla Otakpor, Connor Brooks and Johnny Beaman.
Open Art Studio
Please join us for an Open Art Studio on the second Wednesday of each month from 2:55 to 3:30 in room E-142. The first session will be on September 13th.
League of Legends Club
Like playing game? Join the League of Legends club. This club promotes team work, competition, sportsmanship, and civility.
This club creates and programs Lego Robots to accomplish tasks, complete mazes and other cool stuff. Students will rotate between creating and programming robots, designing challenges and other engineering/construction kits.
It is open to any students and it will be good for your resume.
Sophomore Class Shirts
Class shirts are now on sale. They are $20 and are only available in short sleeve. We will be collecting money form September 11th through the 15th. Money can be turned in at lunch or to Mrs. Garcia in room A-225. Remember that the money raised goes toward our senior prom.
Counseling Department / Eagle Academy
Eagle Academy is up and running Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. in room A-151. If you have questions about Eagle Academy, please see your counselor.
If you are interested in joining Key Club, there is still time to join. Membership forms can be found outside of room 337. Return the membership application and dues to Mrs. San Miguel in room 337 until October 20th. On another note, if you are a current Key Club member, please get a Trick-or Treat for UNICEF box from Mrs. San Miguel as soon as you can.
Don't forget to buy your Homecoming shirts in the student store at all lunches. Shirts are $15. They are first come, first serve. When they are gone, they are gone.
