Returning Student Registration

Registration for returning students (enrolled in ANY MISD school last year) will begin July 17, 2024.  An email will be sent to current families when enrollment officially opens.

New Student Registration

For students that were not enrolled in ANY MISD school last year, please follow the steps listed on the MISD website.

Please make sure you have all the necessary documents (listed in the yellow box) BEFORE beginning the online registration process.  Once you have completed the online enrollment process, the counseling office will contact you and set up a time to meet with a counselor to choose classes.  These meetings will not start until July.

Proof of Residency (POR)

Returning students will need to provide Proof of Residency (POR) by emailing it to lakeridge_POR@misdmail.org.  PORs are required for students entering the 9th and 11th grades.  Only PORs with service dates beginning May 2024 or later can be accepted.  Note:  if the POR does not reflect a service date in May or later, the POR will not be accepted and a new POR will need to be delivered in person to the campus.  All forms of POR must show a service address.  Failure to provide the necessary documentation may result in enrollment delays or withdrawal from school.

Satisfactory Proof of Residence includes:

• Electric Bill - with May service date or later
• Gas Bill - with May service date or later
• Water Bill - with May service date or later 

Newly Established Residency in the last 30 days (with no bill yet) can provide a lease agreement.

• The lease agreement may be acceptable if it is new (30 days or less) 
• It may be used when you do not have a utility bill and the lease states bills are paid by the lessor
• Other documentation may be requested when a utility bill is not available
• The lease agreement must list the student occupants
• Lease agreements must show and beginning and ending date and the address of the property with signatures from both the lessor and lessee
• Families with a contract on a home that will close within 45 days of the beginning of school will need to confer with Student Services on applicable Board Policies and guidelines for enrollment

Student ID's - updated August 2nd

• Student ID's for returning students have already been printed and will be distributed the first day of school.
• New students will have their ID photo taken the first week of school.
• Students are required to wear their ID around their neck anytime they are in the school building.
• Replacement ID will cost $5.  That fine will be added to the student's Skyward account.

Freshmen/New Student Orientation 

Orientation for any student new to Lake Ridge will take place on Thursday, August 1st.  The time will be announced at a later date.

Meet the Teacher Night

Lake Ridge Meet the Teacher Night will be Thursday, August 22nd from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm.
