Senior Panoramic

Our senior panoramic photo session is scheduled for Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 10:40 a.m.  This is a perfect way to preserve memories of your senior year.  Panoramic pictures will be ready for pick up the next day, February 14th, in the cafeteria.

  • $25 for the panoramic
  • $35 for a large laminated panoramic and a medium panoramic
  • $45 for a large laminate panoramic, a medium panoramic and a medium class of '18 formation print

Payment is accepted in the form of cash, check, or money order (Credit cards and debit cards are not accepted).  Please make checks payable to the Goldbeck Company.

Saturday School

Saturday school will be held in the library on February 3, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Students needing hours for detention or attendance requirements will need to arrive by 8 a.m. with a current Lake Ridge ID.  If you arrive late, you will not be permitted to enter.  Please be sure to have your tracking sheets with you when you arrive.  We will see you there.

Step Team

Dynasty won 1st place at their competition Saturday, and the Distinguished Gentlemen won the Best Dressed Award.

Gaming Club

Gaming Club meetings will begin on Monday, February 5th.  We will  provide opportunities for students who want to connect with others with similar interests in board and video games.  It is our goal to build healthy relationships between students in a fun and friendly way, so  some on down to room A-259 on February 5th for the first meeting.  Please see Mr. G. or Ms. Swegler in rooms A-259 and A-224 for more information.  

Beak Week

Students please take a few moments to complete the Beak Week Survey.  You will find the survey on your iPad under the app Beak Week Survey. 


Yesterday the boys' and girls' JV Tennis team dominated the competition at the Nimitz Winter Tournament. As a team we placed first in girls doubles, girls singles, mixed doubles, boys singles, and boys doubles.  Taylor Gaines, Logan Luna, Zach Hash, Cody Allison, Brandon Duppstadt, Sydney Edwards, and Isaac Hernandez lead the team to success.  Great job, team.

Academic Decathlon

Congratulations to the Lake Ridge Academic Decathlon team for advancing to the state tournament for our third year in a row.  We are entering as the sixteenth seed by far the best team we have ever had. 

Evan Probst won first place in the scholastic interview competition as well as first place in the scholastic interview competition.  Christian West won second place in the varsity economics competition.  


Please stop by Ms. Whatley's office )-135 (behind reception) during passing periods or at lunch to verify the spelling of your name for your diploma.

MISD Advanced Academics Symposium

Parents and students, please plan to attend the MISD Advanced Academics Spring Symposium Tuesday, February 13th from 5-8 p.m. at the Center for Performing Arts.  Information will be shared on understanding PSAT scores, participating in extra curricular opportunities, summer college admissions, test prep, and more.

Swim & Dive

Your Eagle Swim and Dive team are the men's and women's district champions for 2018!  Both teams have now finished as the district champions for back to back seasons.  The swim and dive teams have qualified 31 swimmers and divers to the regional level meet.  The region meet will be February 2nd and 3rd at 9:00 a.m. at the Mansfield ISD Natatorium.


Join us in congratulating Capri Davis on being selected to the MaxPreps All-American First Team.

Girls' Powerlifting

Our Eagle powerllifters placed 3rd as a team again on Wednesday.

  • Alysa Henderson placed 1st and was awarded Top Overall Lifter.
  • Ashia Delce placed 2nd.
  • Brianna McCrae placed 2nd.
  • Faith Ette placed 1st.

Boys' Powerlifting
De'Neric Pinson placed 3rd in the powerlifting meet.  Join us for our next match November 15th at Timberview.

Take the Throne Step Competition

The Lake Ridge Step Team and K104's Lady Jade are hosting our very first "Take the Throne" Step Competition at Lake Ridge.  The event will be held Saturday, February 3rd at 5 p.m. in the PAC.  Student presale tickets are $8 with a student ID, adult presale tickets are $10, and all tickets are $12 at the door.  For more information see any step team member, First Sergeant Wade, or Mr. Boone.

Girls' Basketball

Congratulations to all three lady Eagles Basketball teams, and their clean sweep of Red Oak last night! Come out and support the team Friday as we take on Midlothian.   

Girls' Soccer

Our JV lady Eagles Soccer team won against Red Oak last night 3-0.  The team is 2-0 in district play.  Congratulation ladies!

Boys' Golf

Join us in congratulating Logan Griggs and Hunter Sanchez, both golfers shot a respectable 88 at the Prairie Lakes Golf Club.  Logan placed 4th and Hunter placed 5th. Great job guys!


At the Texas Music Educators Association in Coppell, 33 of our students represented Lake Ridge with pride amongst many of the most talented high school musicians in Texas.  Lake Ridge students earned 5 All-State Musician seats, the most of any MISD high school.

Congratulations to the following Lake Ridge Band students for placing at the very top of their audition room, earning the designation, Texas All-State Musician:

Joseph Huynh, 1st place in the 5A Base Clarinet room

Scott Sanders, 1st place in the 6A French Horn room

Kaleb Patterson, 1st place in the 6A Tuba room

Dillon Akerman, 1st place in the 5A Percussion room

Lisandro Atencio, 1st place in the 6A Percussion room

These five students will join other All-State musicians from around Texas in San Antonio in February for a three day clinic and concert series conducted by some of our nation's most renowned conductors, composers, and educators.

Congratulations to all of our Lake Ridge Band students for another job well done!

Panhellenic (Greek Life) Information

Senior Girls,

If you are interested in pledging a sorority in college, bring a parent to the Arlington Panhellenic meeting on Sunday, February 25th at 2 p.m. at Oakridge School in Arlington.

This new process can sometimes be intimidating.  The meeting is designed to inform students and parents about process and answer any questions they may have.  

Baseball Fan Fest 2/3

Come join the Lake Ridge Baseball team as we kick off the 2018 season.  We will have our annual Fan Fest this Saturday, February 3rd from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Lake Ride Baseball field.  We hope to see you there.
