Saturday School will be held in the library from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. This is perfect for students who need absent fail hours or detention hours. You will need a current ID. Students must arrive on time in order to be admitted. Food and drinks are not permitted in the library. See you there.

We are extremely proud of our 5 All State Band members for their success during the All State Band auditions last week.
Dillon Akerman finished in 1st place out of all class 5A percussionists, earning 1st chair in the 5A All-State Symphonic Band. Lisandro Atencio finished in 10th place out of all class 6A percussionists, earning 1st chair in the 6A All-State Philharmonic Orchestra. Joseph Hoon finished in 8th place out of all class 5A base clarinets, earning 8th chair in the 5A All-State Symphonic Band. Kaleb Patterson finished in 5th place out of all class 6A tubas, earning 2nd chair in the 6A All-State Symphonic Band. Scott Sanders finished in 10th place out of all class 6A French Horns, earning 1st chair in the 6A All-State Philharmonic Orchestra. Congratulations to our Lake Ridge All-State Musicians! It's time to start thinking about getting your iPads returned. If your're not using them, dust them off and turn them in to Mr. Dean. The official Senior iPad Pick-up days will be April 17th and April 18th.
Black History and Cultural Fair
The National Honor Society and the African Student Association are hosting a Black History and Cultural Fair on Thursday, February 22nd in the cafeteria and the PAC lobby during all lunches. There will be a small sampling of traditionally African American soul food dishes served in the cafeteria and Black Cultural presentations outside of the PAC. Please stop by during your lunch break and experience this celebration of culture.
Panhellenic (Greek Life) Information
If you are interested in pledging a sorority in college, bring a parent to the Arlington Panhellenic meeting on Sunday, February 25th at 2 p.m. at Oakridge School in Arlington.
This new process can sometimes be intimidating. The meeting is designed to inform students and parents about process and answer any questions they may have.
Senior Prom Tickets
Senior Prom Tickets are now on sale for $75 until March 2, 2018. A permission slip is required in order to purchase a ticket. Every student must pick up a permission form from the bookkeeper. A permission slip will not be given, if student fees are not cleared. Ticket prices will be $85 from March 5th to April 6th.
Senior Class Spirit Night

Beak Week Talent Show Auditions

Clothes Closet Community Drive
PTSA is hosting a community drive to collect items for Clothes Closet. Please donate new or unused white T-shirts between February 15th and March 2nd. Drop off your T-shirts with PTSA during snack sales on Thursdays and Fridays to be entered to win free popcorn for the entire month of March. The winner will be announced on March 3rd.
