The Lady Eagle volleyball team was named Bi-District Champs after their victory this week. Please congratulate the girls on their victory. The team takes on Byron Nelson High School for Area playoffs Friday night at 6:30 p.m. at Richland High School.
Mock Trial Club
Do you love crime dramas? Do you want to actually experience one? Then the Mock Trial Club is for you! An introduction and complete explanation of the Mock Trial Club will be held in room A-324 on Wednesday, October 31st at 3:00 p.m. This meeting will be a way to introduce new members to the basic parts of a trial such as cross and direct examinations, opening and closing arguments, and the importance of case law in supporting your arguments.
The Korean Club will meet Wednesday, October 31st in room A-134.
Students, please be aware of the new staff parking spaces in the rear parking lot. Students are not allowed to park in parking spaces with yellow stripping at any time. Students found parking in the designated staff parking spaces will be subject to a $30 citation. Violation enforcement will begin immediately.

Lake Ridge Choir students have participated in three TMEA auditions so far this year and have been very successful at all levels. Four students earned spots in the All-Region Choir and are still in the process of auditioning for All-State Choir. Brandon Gentry, Lexi Taggart, Khang Tran, and Hayden Mullins. In addition, four singers placed in the District Treble Choir - Allison McGrath, McKenzie Morgan, Obehi Omoaghe (Obey Ohmahgee), and Breanna Hardin. Finally, eight singers made the 9th and 10th grade Honor Choir - Bryce Charles, Caleb Shaw, Ava Jacobs, Katie Holland, Taylor Payne, Alex Annan, Owen O'Connor, and Jeremy Perez.
Boys' Soccer Tryouts are Monday, November 26th. If you would like to tryout please sign up in Coach Elolf's room A-121 during advisory either this week or next week.
Miles for Meredith Fundraiser
Hey Eagles, the Miles for Meredith fundraiser 5K is November 17th at Mansfield High. This is a very worthy cause and anyone who wishes to run or walk needs to register by November 16th by going online or go to the reception desk for a form. Anyone wanting to volunteer and get service hours, or groups or clubs that wish to participate can come see Coach Jones any B day during advisory in the PE gym. Thanks for your help to make this 5K a great one. There are cash prizes for campuses with the most participation as well as individual awards!
In observance of the upcoming Veterans Day Sunday November 11th, we want to know if you have family members that have served or are serving in any of the branches of military services. We will display their names and your names in a Veterans Day display at school and invite you and your family member to a breakfast on Monday morning November 12th.

December STAAR Testing
This is just a reminder that December STAAR retesting is coming up soon. You only have 3 more weeks of tutoring before the tests. Please check the handout you were given with the tutoring schedule or the posters throughout the building for more information. Please make an effort to get to tutoring to prepare for these retests.
Students if you have recently requested a transcript or other records, please pick up in the counseling office. We have several that are ready and need to be picked up.
College Field Trip for Juniors
Class of 2020....your turn is up for a College Field Trip to SMU on November 27th. The permission slips are available in the counseling office. Please have it submitted by November 7th. We will take the first 75 with no discipline issues. Wear comfortable shoes, dress in school dress code for the weather and bring $15 for food.
College Credit & Specialty Courses Information Night
Come join us Monday, November 5th at the MISD Center for Performing Arts as we explore the multiple dual credit opportunities and two new specialty courses that are being offered in Mansfield ISD. We will discuss the programs offered, the registration process and equip you with the information needed to successfully enroll in the program that's right for you. The general session will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by break out sessions geared to special interests.
