The Tyde Classic Tournament at the Lake Ridge Site  start times are as follows:

12:00 p.m. Lake Ridge vs Amarillo

2:30 p.m. Amarillo vs Ennis

5:00 p.m. Ennis vs North Crowley

7:30 p.m. North Crowley vs Lake Ridge

Bowling Team

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Bowling Team as they placed 1st in District Competition. Both the Girls and the Varsity Teams advance to Regionals in Amarillo this weekend. Tara Spridco will also compete in singles competition. Good luck to all!

Sign-Ups for Dodgeball and Volleyball

The BEAK Week Dodgeball tournament is Monday, March 4th during 2nd block.  Team entries cost $20.  If you want to participate sign up using the QR code.  Please see Mrs. Stinson, if you have any questions.

BEAK Week Events

Next week is BEAK Week! We kick off on Monday with a Dodgeball tournament during 2nd Block and PJ Day! Find Mrs. Stinson for Dodgeball tickets. Tickets are $1. Tuesday is Twin Day and the Talent Show.

Monday: Dodgeball Tournament 2nd block

Tuesday: Talent Show 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday: Volleyball Tournament 6:30 p.m.

Thursday: Lip Sync Battle 2nd block

Scuba Club

There will be a scuba discovery session on Sunday, March 3rd from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Please see Mrs. Lamkin in room A-339 for permission and realease forms.

Fashion Association

The next  Fashion Association meeting will be Thursday, February 28th after school in room A-155.  See you there.

Distinguished Gentlemen

Congratulations to the Lake Ridge Step teams for their performances Saturday at the DHB Step Explosion in Dallas!  The Distinguished Gentlemen won 2nd place in the high school boys' division.  Dynasty won 1st place in the high school girls' division.

The GSA meeting is today after school in room E-145.  There will be a surprise, so please attend.

UT Arlington College Visit

Are you interested in a college visit to UT Arlington? The counselors will take a group of 75 LRHS students to campus on March 6th. Get to the counseling office reception desk to pick up a permission slip. Seats are filled on a first come first serve basis, so return your form quickly. March 1st is the deadline to return permission slips.

African Student Organization

We will have different foods in our meeting on 2/28 in honor of black history month from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Any and everyone is welcome to attend.

Track

The Lady Eagles had a great day at the Nike Invitational this past weekend. Medal winners were: JV 100 Zoe Cordova, 3rd; Jv 4 by 100, 2nd Makayla Handy, Takia Tapper, Erin Wella, Arin Smith, the 4 by 200 1st Zoe Cordova, Takia Tapper, Mickii Jones, and Arin Smith, the 4 by 400, 2nd place finish with varsity points by Jamara Jones in the 300 hurdles, 6th, Alyssa Harris in the 800, 6th, and JV points to Mackenzie Otakpor for a 5th place finish in the 1600. Great job ladies and good luck this weekend at your home meet!

Ticket Pricing

March 4th - March 8th $80 per person

March 18th - March 2nd $85 per person

March 25 - March 29th $90 per person

April 1st - April 12th $95 per person

Purchasing a ticket:

  • Seniors may purchase up to two tickets.  A permission slip is required in order to purchase a ticket.
  • Permission Slips: Will be available starting February 27th.  Student fees must be paid to receive a permission slip.
  • Permission forms must have the senior's parent's signature, date's name, date's parent's signature (if date/guest that attends a different school is 18, no signature is needed.)
  • All fines must be paid for senior and prom date (if they attend LRHS) at the time of the ticket purchase.
  • Tickets are purchased by and given to the senior only.

Date Requirements:

Your date must be between the ages of 16 to 20 years old on the day of prom to be allowed a ticket and entrance into prom.  A current student ID is required to purchase your ticket(s).  A copy of a photo ID for your date must be attached, or the form will not be accepted.  Seniors who graduated from Lake Ridge High School early may purchase a ticket.  Foreign Exchange students between the ages of 16 to 20 may purchase a ticket regardless of grade level. 

Additional Information:

Students must clear outstanding fees with the LRHS Bookkeeper, Mrs. McMillian, prior to receiving a permission slip.  Once your permissions slip is completed, bring it to the bookkeeper's office with your payment for ticket purchasing.  All ticket sales are final.  There are no refunds or exchanges.  You will not be permitted to change your guest after April 12, 2019.  If a change is requested after April 12, 2019, you will not be permitted to bring a guest. 

Parking:

Option 1: There is a $16 fee to valet park.

Option 2: Parking Garage on Houston $7-$18 depending on length of stay or Parking Garage on Commerce $7-$18 depending on the length of stay

Option 3: Street Parking - subject to availability

Lady Eagles Golf

The Lady Eagles Golf Team won in Cleburne this weekend defeating district competitor Waxahachie. Kennedi Lee brought home her first medalist victory adn lauren patterson finished 2nd medalist. 

The JV rambled and scrambled to victory yesterday. Team Martin & Sullins won their matches and Team Liddell and Rios got 4th.

Creative Writing Club

Creative Writing Club will meet today, after school in room A -119. Creative Writing Club meets every Tuesday after school.
