North Texas Teen Book Festival 

If you are interested in attending the North Texas Teen Book Festival on Saturday, March 23rd, please see Mrs. Becht in the library by Thursday this week to pick up your permission slip form.   We only have 7 spots available.

Sign-Ups for the Volleyball & Basketball Tournaments 

Don't forget to sign-up for Basketball and Volleyball this week.  

The BEAK Week Dodgeball tournament is Monday, March 4th during 2nd block.  Team entries cost $20. Spectator tickets are $1.   Please see Mrs. Stinson, if you have any questions.

The BEAK Week Volleyball Tournament is Wednesday, March 6th at 6:30 p.m.  Team entries cost $20 and spectator tickets are $3.

The BEAK Week Basketball Tournament is Thursday, March 7th during 6th block.  See Mrs. Stinson to purchase tickets. Tickets are on sale for $1.

Eagle Nation News Success

ENN’s newspaper staff has reason to celebrate. Five writers, Osaivbie Uhunmwuangho, Sydney Ferguson, Margo Eugenio, Ethan Vu, and Connor Thompson each received a “Best of SNO” award for articles they wrote this school year. Scuba Club

There will be a scuba club social at Cici's Pizza on Monday, March 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. to learn about upcoming events in scuba diving.  Please see Mrs. Lamkin for more information.

UT Arlington College Visit

Are you interested in a college visit to UT Arlington? The counselors will take a group of 75 LRHS students to campus on March 6th. Get to the counseling office reception desk to pick up a permission slip. Seats are filled on a first come first serve basis, so return your form quickly. March 1st is the deadline to return permission slips.

Power Lifting

Last week the boys and girls powerlifting teams competed at regionals. JJ Nguyen placed first in her weight class for 6A and Danny Sobrepena placed first in his weight class. Both are state bound! Congratulations to both lifters and a special shout out to Alysa Henderson on her outstanding season. Powerlifting training will continue daily at 6am in the field house weight room if anyone is interested in joining the team. It is open to all Lake Ridge students.


Congratulations to the Varsity and JV girls' softball teams,both teams won Tuesday.
